Well, here you are. I’m so glad you found me.I’m Karen Barnhardt, an Ohio-based editor and proofreader. I’m an introvert and a natural observer. I notice the little things: where clarity is lacking, where ideas don’t quite connect, and where an awkward sentence interrupts the flow of a piece.From the exhilaration of that first idea to the birth of a messy first draft, I understand what it takes to shape a draft into a polished, compelling piece. I also know that thoughtful editing doesn’t strip your voice or perspective; it adds the clarity and precision that help your work connect with your reader.Outside of client work, I write articles for Medium and enjoy time with family. You may also find me reading something dark and mysterious or something that takes me back to my native South.
